Rev. Dr. Johngerlyn “Jonse” Young brings over 30 years of comprehensive experience in philanthropic leadership, encompassing development, fundraising, capital campaigns, major gift cultivation, donor relations, grantmaking, and racial equity initiatives. Her extensive background positions her as a recognized authority in nonprofit development and organizational leadership within faith-based and community-serving organizations.

Dr. Young currently serves as the 7th International President of the Assembly of Christian Educators for the AME Zion Church Denomination, demonstrating her commitment to educational and spiritual leadership on a global scale. Throughout her career, she has held numerous leadership positions in both nonprofit organizations and church settings, contributing to organizational growth and community impact.

As a national mentor in philanthropy, Dr. Young works with prominent organizations including the Council on Foundations and the Association of Black Fundraising Executives. She is frequently sought after as a speaker, workshop presenter, and group facilitator, sharing her expertise in development practices and organizational leadership. Dr. Young holds a Doctor of Business Administration and a Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership, along with her CAP certification, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning in the field of philanthropy.
