Meet Jon – a nonprofit whiz who’s been crushing it in the fundraising world for over 10 years. He’s the kind of guy who gets equally excited about spreadsheets and seeing nonprofits make a real difference in their communities. When he’s not helping ministries level up their fundraising game with smart, data-driven strategies, you might catch him sharing his knowledge at big-name conferences or writing articles to help others in the field.
Before joining the Timothy Group, Jonathan ran his own fundraising consulting firm (yeah, he’s got that entrepreneurial spirit!) and held leadership roles at All Belong Center for Inclusive Education and Jubilee Centers International. He’s got the credentials to back up his expertise too – he’s a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and holds an Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising from Indiana University’s prestigious Lilly School of Philanthropy. Plus, he’s got solid business and finance know-how from his Grand Valley State days.
When he’s not working his magic with nonprofit partners, you’ll find Jonathan at home in Grand Rapids with his wife and two kids, probably covered in sawdust from his latest home improvement project on their 1930s Tudor-style house. He’s also big on family adventures, whether they’re exploring national parks or road-tripping around Michigan. Jonathan and his family are active members of Grace Christian Reformed Church, where they love being part of the community.
