Jerry brings extensive media and nonprofit experience to his role as Vice President for Client Services at The Timothy Group. Born in Greencastle, Indiana, he earned degrees in journalism and political science from Indiana State University while working full-time at the Terre Haute Tribune-Star. His early career included positions with Cox News Service, AP, and UPI before transitioning to television marketing and programming for approximately 20 years.
In his 40s, Jerry pursued seminary education at Columbia International University, where he earned a master’s degree in leadership while serving as General Manager of 89.7 WMHK, a Marconi Award-winning radio station. In this role, he led teams that raised over $1 million annually without interrupting programming for fundraising campaigns. His subsequent career included consulting work, a Development Director position at WAY-FM, and a Vice President role at Advocace (now Dickerson-Baker) before joining Positive Alternative Radio from 2016 to 2025.
Jerry has been married to his wife Lisa since 1981, and together they raised two niece-daughters and two sons. They are proud grandparents to one grandson and active members of Crossroads Christian Church in Irmo, South Carolina. Jerry was ordained for ministry in 2005 and continues to support causes focused on children’s welfare, Gospel outreach, and social justice initiatives.
