If you’re looking for a guy who can talk fundraising, leadership, and Jesus over a strong cup of coffee—or while cruising in his 1977 orange Corvette—you’ve found him. Rich Cummins has spent over 25 years helping nonprofits raise millions, build relationships, and turn big dreams into reality.
Rich has done just about everything in the world of nonprofit leadership—university VP, rescue mission fundraiser, global CEO, and consultant—which means he’s got a story (or ten) about capital campaigns, major donors, and the importance of always having a Plan B (and sometimes a Plan C). He’s led multimillion-dollar fundraising efforts, coached leaders, and built donor programs that actually work.
Now, as President of The Timothy Group, Rich spends his days helping faith-based organizations fuel their missions through generosity. Whether it’s launching a big campaign, engaging major donors, or strengthening a nonprofit’s strategy, he’s all about helping ministries thrive. He’s also a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and co-author of Emotional Intelligence in Christ, which dives into what Jesus can teach us about leadership and emotional smarts.
When he’s not coaching leaders or raising funds, you’ll find him hiking trails, working out, or cheering on Purdue basketball (go Boilers!). He loves traveling with his wife, Danielle, wrangling his five amazing kids, and getting lost in a great nonfiction book. If you bring up Jesus, leadership, or classic muscle cars, be ready for a long (but very entertaining) conversation.
Want to talk fundraising, leadership, or where to find the best hiking trails? Rich is all in.
